Trauma and the Aftermath

Psychologist Dr. Adam Volungis will be speaking about the effects of trauma and the aftermath. Subjects include but aren’t limited to signs and symptoms of acute stress, PTSD, the effects of repeat exposure to trauma on first responders, and how to cope in the aftermath.

Join us on Saturday, June 9th from 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at the Grafton Police Station. Special thanks to the Greater Grafton Medical Reserve Corps for funding this training opportunity for the community at large. Please park away from the main entrance in Seminar Parking. Coffee will be available. Feel free to bring a snack to share.

Our Smartphone Addiction & Mental Health Study Covered on Worcester News Tonight (Charter TV3)!

This study was completed with my colleague, Dr. Maria Kalpidou, and two of my graduate research assistants, Colleen Popores and Mark Joyce.  Our findings were presented at the New England Psychological Association in October 2016 and the Eastern Psychological Association in March 2017.  We plan to submit for publication in a peer-reviewed journal by the end of the summer.  (See Video Below)
